Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) initiatives help parents, whānau, teachers and kura address behaviour, improve children's well-being, and increase educational achievement. Initially PB4L at Grey Main School was self driven and in 2021 we signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education to support the programme by providing a facilitator to lead our kaiako through the principles of the programme. We are currently completing Tier 1 of the programme by reviewing our teaching components around our school values Manaakitanga and Excellence. PB4L rewards appropriate behaviour and expectations and norms are taught and modeled throughout the school. Whanau Time, Waka Time, Connect Time and celebrating our successes in assemblies and prize givings are all components of this well researched programme.
